Sarah Gooding

Sarah Gooding is a stained glass artist and longtime creative who discovered her passion for the medium in 2020. Her work is deeply influenced by geometry, colour, and the dynamic interplay of light as it reflects and refracts through glass. 

Sarah's designs are characterized by a juxtaposition between the rigid lines of geometric forms and a softer side of femininity. Each piece is a unique exploration of these contrasts, pushing the understanding of traditional stained glass design by imbuing a fresh, contemporary edge to the medium. 

My fascination with the interplay of light and colour naturally drew me to stained glass as a medium. As an artist, I am captivated by the dynamic tension between contrasting elements— rigidity and femininity, tradition and modernity. Through stained glass, I channel this intrigue into creating art that harmonizes these contradictions.

Working with glass demands both precision and creativity, blending the technical rigour of engineering with an intuitive sense of design and colour. This collection is a testament to my journey of design, experimentation, and embracing the process of letting go.
