Passionate about glass, Siobhan Lynch creates stained glass pieces that reflect her innate understanding of the interplay between glass and light. Capturing this ‘dance’ is the driving force behind her designs. By applying the discipline of the art form and playing with elements of texture, colour and pattern, her pieces evoke specific and individual moods.
When first making panels, her focus was on traditional Irish knot-work patterns. Most of her original designs still integrate knot-work and/or flowing interweaving lines that to her, represent continuity, balance, and interaction. The sense of movement is what she likes to capture in my glass.
